About the position

The Dual Director of Sales will be responsible for the development and implementation of the total sales effort of the hotel, including securing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and executing sales and marketing strategies to maximize the profitability of the hotel while maintaining customer satisfaction. This role is crucial in shaping the hotel's revenue and ensuring that sales targets are met or exceeded. The position requires a proactive approach to building relationships with key clients and stakeholders, which is essential for driving group business, including room sales, food and beverage sales, and catering or banquet services. In addition to client relationship management, the Dual Director of Sales will attend networking events and develop good relationships with officials and representatives of local community groups, companies, and trade organizations. This includes attending local and out-of-town meetings and conventions to generate sales for the hotel. Conducting site tours for potential clients and maintaining a comprehensive customer database are also key responsibilities. The role involves developing contracts and following up with customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business. Furthermore, the Dual Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and managing the departmental budget, monitoring sales activity and performance, and ensuring that sales meet or exceed the established profit plan. Accurate reporting of variances and projections to management is also a critical aspect of this position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel sales, particularly with multi-unit and multi-brand experience, and will be well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while displaying initiative and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hotel sales experience.
  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt sales processes and systems.
  • Multi-unit and multi-brand experience is a plus.
  • Well organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and display initiative.
  • Strong analytical skills and perseverance.
  • Team player with a professional demeanor and integrity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
