The Dual Property Sales Manager is a pivotal role responsible for driving sales and marketing initiatives for two properties located in Moreno Valley, CA. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in hospitality sales, who can effectively manage and execute the hotel's Sales and Marketing Plan. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of sales experience in the hospitality industry and will be tasked with achieving and exceeding revenue targets while developing new business opportunities. The role involves conducting local market research, selling incremental room nights, and enhancing public and community relations to ensure the properties maintain a strong presence in the local market. In this position, the Sales Manager will prepare and implement the annual Sales and Marketing Plan, make sales calls to key accounts, and capitalize on all revenue opportunities. The role also includes financial responsibilities such as utilizing yield management tools, preparing and managing the annual budget, and ensuring that revenue goals are aggressively pursued. Community involvement is crucial, as the Sales Manager will develop and maintain relationships with local organizations, ensuring the properties are well-regarded within the community. The Sales Manager will work closely with the front office and housekeeping staff to ensure that guest satisfaction standards are met and exceeded. Leadership skills are essential, as the individual will motivate, coach, and train team members, set goals, and provide feedback and recognition. The position requires a high level of integrity, effective communication, and a collaborative work ethic to foster a positive work environment. The Sales Manager will also be responsible for maintaining accurate account files, responding to leads in a timely manner, and ensuring that all sales leads are followed up appropriately. Overall, this role is integral to the success of the properties and requires a proactive and results-oriented approach to sales and marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and continuously update local market research.
  • Sell incremental room nights for the property.
  • Develop and execute the hotel's Sales and Marketing Plan.
  • Achieve and exceed the revenue targets for the property.
  • Assess the market potential and develop new business opportunities while increasing revenues from existing customers.
  • Conduct and enhance public and community relations.
  • Prepare and implement the hotel's annual Sales and Marketing Plan.
  • Make sales calls to key accounts and potential clients, capitalizing on all revenue opportunities.
  • Aggressively pursue revenue goals and effectively utilize yield management and revenue maximization tools.
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget.
  • Ensure good standing in the community by developing and maintaining relationships with local organizations.
  • Work closely with the front office and housekeeping staff to ensure guest satisfaction standards are met.
  • Motivate, coach, and train team members, set goals, and hold team members accountable.
  • Send daily end of the day activity and accomplishment emails to the General Manager and Corporate Director of Operations.
  • Achieve revenue and RevPar targets for all business segments.
  • Establish monthly sales forecasts and keep management apprised of their status.
  • Develop and execute advertising programs within budget guidelines.
  • Maintain high visibility in the surrounding community.
  • Maintain efficient sales office procedures and accurate account files.
  • Respond in a timely manner to all leads/RFPs from various sources.
  • Complete weekly Sales Department Productivity Reports.
  • Assist in the development and recommendation of rate strategies.
  • Attend community activities and meetings to promote the properties.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma; higher level of education preferred.
  • 3 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to drive to client locations and possess a valid driver's license.
