About the position

The Dual Sales Manager at White Lodging is responsible for securing group and volume business for the Courtyard by Marriott Austin Downtown/Convention Center. This role is crucial for meeting the hotel's financial goals and requires a proactive approach to sales, relationship building, and strategic problem-solving. The ideal candidate will be driven, confident, and focused on developing a successful career in hospitality sales.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit, confirm and coordinate Special Corporate and Group sales.
  • Handle customer inquiries and leads requests for groups.
  • Respond in a timely manner to incoming group/catering opportunities.
  • Work with customers to align preferences with brand needs and actively up-sell business opportunities.
  • Seek out new business that would not utilize the hotel without direct efforts.
  • Identify issues of revenue generation and execute strategies to address them.
  • Develop long-term relationships with potential clients.
  • Communicate actions and record activities to measure efforts and implement successful strategies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major preferred.
  • 1 year experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
