About the position
The Dual Sales Manager at White Lodging is responsible for securing group and volume business for the Courtyard by Marriott Austin Downtown/Convention Center. This role is crucial for meeting the hotel's financial goals and requires a proactive approach to sales, relationship building, and strategic problem-solving. The ideal candidate will be driven, confident, and focused on developing a successful career in hospitality sales.
Responsibilities
- Solicit, confirm and coordinate Special Corporate and Group sales.
- Handle customer inquiries and leads requests for groups.
- Respond in a timely manner to incoming group/catering opportunities.
- Work with customers to align preferences with brand needs and actively up-sell business opportunities.
- Seek out new business that would not utilize the hotel without direct efforts.
- Identify issues of revenue generation and execute strategies to address them.
- Develop long-term relationships with potential clients.
- Communicate actions and record activities to measure efforts and implement successful strategies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major preferred.
- 1 year experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
