Dump truck driver needed

About the position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Master Truck Driver to operate dump trucks for year-round work in Anchorage. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting asphalt and gravel during the summer months and handling snow removal in the winter. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, as well as the ability to work in various weather conditions. The Master Truck Driver will be expected to maintain the vehicle in good working order and ensure compliance with all transportation regulations. Responsibilities

• Operate dump trucks to transport asphalt and gravel during the summer months.
• Perform snow removal and related tasks during the winter months.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members regarding job status and any issues that arise.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a dump truck driver or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in transportation.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery and perform basic maintenance on vehicles.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
