About the position

The Duty Manager-Fuel Operations is responsible for overseeing all air carrier fueling functions at the airport, ensuring that workers and equipment are available as needed. This role involves managing supervisors and employees, directing operations, and ensuring compliance with safety measures. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to coordinate various operational aspects effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Review reports and records to ascertain data required for planning department.
  • Direct and coordinate all air carrier fueling functions.
  • Ensure workers and equipment are available when and where needed.
  • Investigate causes of accidents and recommend safety measures.
  • Communicate required information to other managers, supervisors, and departments.
  • Manage supervisors and employees, directing the overall shift operations.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of leadership and management experience in the Airport Ground Handling business.
  • Proven track record in managing a business unit.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial management.
  • Experience in operational planning and resource allocation.
  • Working knowledge of GSE operation.
  • Understanding of the wider airport operational environment.
  • Experience and understanding of the commercial issues in aviation.
  • Experience in Health and Safety management.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to lift at least 70 pounds on a continuous basis.
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
