About the position

The Duty Manager at Alliance Ground International (AGI) is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and office operations to ensure the safe and timely transportation of cargo. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to adapt to constantly changing schedules in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day AGI warehouse and office staff operations to support the safe and timely transportation of cargo.
  • Ensure safety, security, and compliance at the SFO warehouse station, including providing updates and training to employees.
  • Prepare employee payroll data and monitor manpower hours to coordinate schedules with appropriate tonnages and flight delays.
  • Lead, develop, and coach front line employees and supervisors.
  • Ensure cargo operations follow federal, state, and government regulations.
  • Audit cargo practices to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Document cargo procedures and create employee updates, bulletins, and communications.
  • Meet with customers regularly to gather feedback and monitor satisfaction levels.
  • Comply with company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and policies.
  • Ensure paperwork related to cargo is correct before release.
  • Assure compliance with local and international laws and regulations.
  • Follow Dangerous Goods Requirements and Regulations.
  • Cultivate and manage a team for cargo handling account.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor cargo operations plans to meet account standards.
  • Work with various groups including airlines, agents, and forwarders.
  • Manage revenue and cost control responsibilities for cargo handling operations.
  • Handle manpower and staffing; labor distribution for contracts.
  • Manage vendor and facility operations, including maintenance of equipment.
  • Control inventory and ordering for warehouse and office supplies.
  • Assist the General Manager in everyday operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of supervisor experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Successful completion of required airport badging process and pre-employment drug screen is required.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
