About the position

The E-Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing full-cycle billing functions, specifically focusing on advanced legal e-billing processes. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can collaborate effectively with attorneys and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely billing, particularly in the context of insurance defense matters.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle billing, including pre-bill edits, invoice preparation, and finalization.
• Administer monthly billings and respond to ad hoc requests from attorneys.
• Collaborate with attorneys and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely billing.
• Process e-billing through multiple platforms, adhering to LEDES format standards and UTBMS coding.
• Manage billing for insurance defense matters, including split billing arrangements.
• Track and manage insurance Self-Insured Retention (SIR) and other billing guidelines.
• Submit appeals and adjustments for short-paid invoices through e-billing portals.

Requirements

• Advanced experience in legal e-billing platforms and systems.
• Knowledge of LEDES format standards and UTBMS coding.
• Expertise in billing for insurance defense matters and complex arrangements.
• Strong familiarity with billing setups and guidelines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Intellectual Property (IP) billing.
