About the position

The E-Commerce and Fulfillment Associate or Coordinator at the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine is responsible for supporting the e-commerce and fulfillment operations of a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting health through plant-based diets. This full-time, in-office position requires a candidate with experience in customer service, sales, and logistics to manage literature and merchandise fulfillment, customer inquiries, inventory management, and event support.

Responsibilities

  • Process literature and merchandise orders within 48 hours in an economical manner.
  • Respond to customer inquiries within 24 hours, aiming to build relationships and cultivate members.
  • Sort incoming mail daily and route it correctly to departments.
  • Process outgoing mail daily in the most economical manner.
  • Ensure inventory is always in stock and the fulfillment center is organized and professional.
  • Track audited merchandise and manage event supplies and equipment.
  • Handle administrative tasks promptly and accurately according to established procedures.
  • Increase sales in the PCRM shop to reach more people with the organization's message.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience in customer service, sales, shipping logistics, and/or fulfillment.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
  • Skill in organizing, prioritizing, and managing time effectively.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work plans and procedures.
  • Openness to receiving and applying feedback to develop new skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and/or under pressure of deadlines.
  • Entrepreneurial experience or interest.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in customer service, sales, shipping logistics, and/or fulfillment.
