E-Commerce Assistant

About the position

The E-Commerce Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the fast-paced and growing E-Commerce business at Hamrick's. This position involves collaborating with coordinators, vendors, and merchants to prepare products for online sales, ensuring efficient product flow, and maintaining product information on the website.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of products to sell online
• Write product descriptions for 16 unique styles each hour
• Answer and resolve any merchandise issues from merchant and Ecommerce teams
• Assist in online merchandising of businesses as needed
• Manage product information edits and website maintenance
• Other duties as assigned by management
• Manage flow of product in and at our distribution center
• Organize products to ensure maximum efficiency to list products to website daily
• Build and maintain cross functional relationships with peers, managers, and staff

Requirements

• Retail experience preferred
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Strong attention to detail with a customer-first approach
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Comfortable with technology and the ability to learn new programs and platforms
• Ability to work constructively in a team environment where brainstorming and collaboration are standard
• Must enjoy working in a fast-paced, multi-processing environment
• Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing, and physical ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry at least 20 lbs.
• 1+ years of retail experience preferred
• 1+ years of e-commerce experience preferred
