About the position

As an E-Commerce Associate at Goodwill Industries of New Mexico, you will be part of a dynamic team that focuses on listing and selling unique and rare items online. You will be responsible for identifying, selecting, and evaluating donated products for online sale, ensuring that each item meets the necessary specifications. Your role will involve taking detailed photographs of products, writing accurate and creative descriptions, and listing items on various e-commerce platforms. You will also be expected to meet daily and weekly posting goals set by management, maintain cleanliness and organization in your workspace, and handle shipping fulfillment for sold products. This position is ideal for someone who is innovative, has a passion for unique items, and is eager to learn more about the e-commerce industry.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to attendance and punctuality policies of Goodwill.
• Exhibit excellent customer service skills related to the position.
• Ensure actions are consistent with Goodwill ethics, policies, procedures, goals, and mission.
• Knowledge and compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Identify, select, and/or reject donated products for online sale to meet specifications.
• Test product components and parts for proper operation.
• Evaluate and research donated products to establish value for online sale.
• Thoroughly examine each product to determine condition, manufacturer authenticity, and other pertinent criteria.
• Take detailed, clear, and appropriate photos to show all notable flaws or absence of flaws.
• Upload photos to computer software.
• Write accurate, informative, and creative descriptions of products, including name brands, item style, color, measurements, size, weight, and shape.
• List items on various e-commerce marketplaces as necessary.
• Meet daily/weekly posting goals and performance standards as established by management.
• Perform necessary record keeping pertaining to daily activities and other reports in a neat and legible manner.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization of all workstations.
• Store and retrieve listed products to and from the warehouse.
• Complete shipping fulfillment for sold products, including choosing proper packaging and securing contents to prevent damage in transit.
• Prepare shipment labels and maintain organization of outgoing packages.
• Process merchandise in accordance with the company's procedures.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Follow all loss prevention guidelines and security measures.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented relationship with all staff and departments.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team, and/or mission.

Requirements

• Knowledge of organizational practices, policies, and procedures and compliance with the same.
