About the position

We are looking for an experienced Copywriter to join our team of copywriters at Rooms To Go. This role involves writing product copy, emails, headers, subhead copy, and copyediting blogs for our products, creating meaningful content that engages customers and drives business across various e-commerce platforms. In this highly collaborative position, you will interact with the digital marketing, E-Commerce, creative, content, and analytics teams. Responsibilities

• Writes creative, clear, concise, and brand-right web copy
• Ensures the accuracy of the copy and product information, tracks and accounts for errors, and updates all copy
• Responsible for writing and developing high-quality customer-focused e-commerce content, including persuasive copy for product pages and landing pages
• Interacts with buyers and merchandisers to obtain information for products in multiple categories for RTG product descriptions
• Checks facts contained in ads against buyers' advertising notes, having an eye for reviewing details in photography
• Inputs product descriptions into a digital catalog for Rooms To Go, ensuring immaculate attention to detail
• Coordinates information-gathering for all product details (i.e., weight, dimensions, size) and formats them to deliver accurate and relevant selling points to the customer

Requirements

• 3+ years of copywriting experience
• Strong attention to detail and copyediting skills
• Ability to read copy to detect and mark (or correct) any grammatical, typographical, or compositional errors
• Experience writing detailed product copy for a major retailer, digital retailer, or catalog company
• Skilled in ideation of marketing & advertising concepts and campaigns, with strong written and verbal communications
• Bachelor's degree preferred
