About the position
The e-Commerce/Department Lead assists the Store e-Commerce manager in overseeing the daily operations of the store's e-Commerce department. The position is integral to maintaining operational efficiency and team performance within the e-Commerce department.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Store e-Commerce manager in managing day-to-day operations of the e-Commerce department.
- Act as the person in charge of the e-Commerce department when the Store e-Commerce manager is unavailable.
- Train team members on all functions and duties of the selector and customer attendant roles.
- Maintain the intake of customer orders and distribute work to selectors and customer attendants.
- Print and distribute order labels, including for perishable departments.
- Troubleshoot e-Commerce equipment and devices.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
- Report pricing, scanning, item location discrepancies, and invalid temperature types to the store e-Commerce manager.
- Perform required opening and closing procedures.
- Provide feedback on team members' daily performance and assist in annual performance reviews.
Requirements
- Proven supervisory experience.
- Ability to read shelf tags.
- Basic knowledge of computers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills (i.e., counting, addition, and subtraction).
- Self-directed with the ability to execute projects with minimal supervision.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or cashier experience.
- Ability to meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
- Ensure team members adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
- Learn and implement process improvements as directed by the division or enterprise e-Commerce team.
