About the position

The eCommerce Web Designer is responsible for creating, implementing, and managing all creative elements on client websites and related web properties. This role involves producing both flat and interactive assets, focusing on branding, landing page refreshes, and various marketing materials. The designer will collaborate with the eCommerce Merchandise team to align creative work with messaging and ensure timely delivery of marketing assets.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage all creative elements on client websites and related web properties.
• Produce flat and interactive assets for websites, including branding and landing page refreshes.
• Partner with the eCommerce Merchandise team to plan messaging and align creative work.
• Provide quick turnaround of marketing assets such as emails, landing pages, and promotions.
• Responsible for projects from concept through implementation, including graphic design and coding.
• Implement the vision of the online experience, ensuring consistency across visual presentation.
• Collaborate with eCommerce and Marketing teams to capture design requirements and translate them into solutions.
• Upgrade and maintain the website, promos, and advertising banners to ensure they are visually compelling.
• Lead creative projects from concept to completion.

Requirements

• High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, HTML/DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Firm understanding of web standards, cross-browser compatibility, and image optimization techniques.
• Strong graphic design, typography, and interactive design skills.
• Superior attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects.
• Prior online web design experience.
• Strong knowledge of web creative concepts and enterprise-level eCommerce websites.
• Experience with content management systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Working knowledge of retail math.
• Strong financial acumen.
• Ability to interpret and draw conclusions from data.
• Understanding of competitors in the eCommerce space.
