E-Commerce Web Developer - Greensboro, NC

About the position

The Ecommerce Developer at Davidson's is responsible for creating and troubleshooting open-source ecommerce applications, contributing to the enhancement of the company's digital experiences. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and strong communication skills, as the developer will work closely with various departments to ensure optimal user experiences and present findings to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with Marketing, Purchasing, and IT departments to enhance user experience.
• Owning the user experience of features from conception to delivery.
• Developing well-structured code in an agile environment.
• Troubleshooting LA/EMP stack components when issues arise.
• Exhibiting exceptional creative thought and attention to detail.
• Presenting work to stakeholders within the organization.
• Providing recommendations based on data through presentations to stakeholders.

Requirements

• A Degree in computer science, IT or similar (a combination of education and experience will be considered).
• A minimum of 6 years of experience with LA/EMP and various open source CMS & ecommerce platforms.
• A minimum of 5 years of ecommerce development experience, including homegrown solutions and platforms.
• A minimum of 3 years of ecommerce architecture experience.
• Experience interacting with an ERP.
• Excellent customer service and research abilities.
• Fluency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, MySQL, Web Services, APIs, Linux.
• MySQL DBA and AWS experience is a plus.
• A willingness to work overtime to troubleshoot critical issues when needed.
• Acute attention to detail with the ability to manage and maintain multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced working environment.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills.
