About the position

Join the Energy practice at MRE Consulting as an E/CTRM Consultant, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting market leaders in the energy sector. As a CTRM Consultant, you will be a key team member on software implementation projects, providing both functional and technical expertise in CTRM systems. Your responsibilities will include working collaboratively on product implementation, integration, and enhancement projects. You will conduct requirements workshops and analyses to capture customer needs, model complex business scenarios, and liaise with customers and team members throughout all functional phases of projects. Additionally, you will assist developers with technical tasks to ensure alignment with business objectives, perform issue resolution, analysis, and troubleshooting, and contribute to the overall success of the projects you are involved in.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key team member on software implementation projects.
  • Provide functional and/or technical expertise in CTRM systems.
  • Conduct requirements workshops and analysis to capture customer needs.
  • Model complex business scenarios.
  • Liaise with customers and team members on all functional phases of projects.
  • Assist developers with technical tasks to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Perform issue resolution, analysis, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3+ years of experience with Gas and Power customers and the US gas and power trading lifecycles.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Endur implementation, with knowledge of US Power and Gas.
  • Minimum 2 years of specialization in at least one area of Front, Mid, or Back office.
  • Experience with at least one Endur implementation from start to finish.
  • Familiarity with ISO power market concepts such as LMP, generation dispatch, and physical flows/tagging.
  • Working knowledge of common energy transactions including physical electricity contracts and financial energy transactions.
  • Experience with MISO, PJM, CAISO, and ERCOT market structures is preferred.
  • Experience in application support, enhancements, and implementations.
  • Proficient in MS SQL and/or PL/SQL statements.
  • Ability to apply best practices to ensure quality and accuracy of project deliverables.
  • High self-motivation and strong delivery focus.
  • Experience in presenting ideas to various business stakeholders.
  • Planning and coordinating project activities and schedules.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ION Endur, RightAngle, Allegro, or other E/CTRM systems is preferred.
  • Background in both physical and financial trading environments.
