About the position

The E-Discovery Project Manager at Perkins Coie is responsible for managing e-discovery services and strategies for case teams and clients. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, and overseeing multiple projects to deliver high-quality e-discovery solutions. The position requires a strong understanding of litigation processes and e-discovery technologies, along with excellent project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as point of contact for all aspects of a project within ESS to successfully execute and deliver end-to-end e-discovery services.
  • Manage multiple projects of varying complexity and activity concurrently.
  • Coordinate and work with appropriate internal and external experts for forensics, processing, analytics, review, and deposition and trial requests.
  • Provide transparent and consistent communication regarding the status of each case, including scope changes, cost changes, delays, and risks.
  • Coordinate database design, data loads, document productions, and other tasks with ESS and case team.
  • Define technical specifications, track delivery schedules, ensure proper quality assurance, and manage changes in scope of all project deliverables.
  • Perform processing quality control for data loaded to review platforms, including metadata discrepancies and error reporting.
  • Perform production anomaly checks of documents to be produced, including conflict coding, redactions, privilege, and family breaks.
  • Monitor and remain apprised of case law developments in e-discovery and advancements in e-discovery technology systems.
  • Be online and available during regularly scheduled working hours and as needed in the job position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least three years of related work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation support software such as Relativity, DISCO, and other e-discovery technology.
  • Familiarity with the litigation process, including all phases of discovery and trial.
  • Superb project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong case and project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze a problem/project quickly and accurately and propose innovative solutions.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Fluent in standard Microsoft Office applications and ability to quickly master new litigation software.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, exercise discretion, and independent judgment.

Nice-to-haves
