About the position

The Chief of Staff role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is designed to strategically manage and enhance the Engineering & Enablement (E&E) organization. This position is pivotal in planning and executing business processes and governance that align with the company's objectives to better serve customers and stakeholders. The Chief of Staff will partner with both internal and external teams to identify and implement opportunities for business process improvement, effectively managing costs and integrating new and existing business operations. This role requires leading cross-functional teams to create and implement plans that enable the execution of business strategies, ensuring alignment towards operational success. In this capacity, the Chief of Staff will develop communication materials that articulate the strategic focus areas and plans of the E&E organization. The position demands a unique mastery of relevant subject matter knowledge, including advanced technologies and innovative principles. The Chief of Staff will operate in complex disciplines, providing innovative solutions that impact the organization's long-term goals and objectives. This role also involves mentoring and guiding lower-level employees, contributing to the development of innovative ideas and strategies, and setting functional policy and direction within the area of expertise. The Chief of Staff will be responsible for driving interlock processes across various functions, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and executing complex initiatives with strong project management skills. Governance practices will be developed to ensure the organization operates effectively, and communication materials will be created to support the organization's objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically drives a broad range of interlock processes across functions to align with business plans and operational success.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and develops recommendations to convert them into compelling new business plans.
  • Independently executes complex initiatives utilizing strong PMO skills.
  • Develops governance practices for the organization to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Creates and develops communication materials for the organization to articulate strategic focus areas and plans.

Requirements

  • First level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.
  • Typically 10+ years of experience in a supply chain function, with experience in more than one supply chain function.
  • Advanced understanding of process management and program management.
  • Ability to identify and create superior analytical tools, models, and methods for making key business decisions.
  • Advanced communication and influencing skills; mastery in English and local language.
  • Advanced internal and external relationship management skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of business problem analysis using Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), statistical analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Superior project management skills, capable of managing cross-functional teams in multiple geographies.
  • Superior business acumen and technical knowledge within the area of responsibility.
  • Extensive understanding of the company's overall business strategy.
  • Advanced knowledge of inventory modeling and analysis.
  • Excellent leadership skills, including team-building and conflict resolution.
