About the position

The E&I Maintenance Technician position at Kruger Products in Memphis, TN, is a critical role within the maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the reliability and uptime of electrical equipment in the mill. This position involves conducting preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting electrical issues, and supporting operations personnel as needed. Technicians will work on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule and are expected to adhere to safety and quality standards while actively participating in team development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot circuit problems and apply theory to install, rebuild, or repair electrical equipment.
• Assist with service calls while on-duty and ensure all required tools and parts are available for each job.
• Complete required service records and recommend equipment modifications or replacements.
• Support and learn Mechanical Maintenance skills and tasks as necessary.
• Participate in safety meetings and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
• Lead efforts to maintain quality standards in paper products and address quality deficiencies.
• Support operations in maximizing efficiency and productivity of machines.
• Conduct root cause analysis for operating problems and work to eliminate root causes.
• Utilize and maintain the SAP Plan Maintenance System for work order completion and documentation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Electrical and PLC Aptitude (STM Assessment)
• Journeyman status preferred
• 2 year technical degree or 5 years industrial work experience in relevant electrical field
• Minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience
• Electrical license or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Committed to safety and organizational goals
• Stable and continuous employment record
• Computer literate
• Professional communication skills
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work from heights
• Ability to work rotating 12hr shifts, overtime, and weekends/holidays
