About the position

The eLearning Content Creator at Entertainment Partners is responsible for generating innovative learning experiences aimed at a global audience within the entertainment industry. This role focuses on developing training plans and courses that enhance the skills of production workers and support staff, ultimately contributing to the establishment of a unique trade school. The position requires creativity, collaboration, and a commitment to empowering others through effective training content.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and produce innovative ideas for training content while working solo and as part of a team of content creators and trainers
  • Collaborate with leadership to write, develop, and implement learning and career development courses for internal and external strategies
  • Research products, services, technology, or concepts to be documented and easily understood by a broad audience
  • Produce, record, and edit filmed training content using Adobe Premier Pro
  • Create documentation such as workbooks, job aids, online help, and reference materials using sound technical writing principles
  • Develop content outlines, storyboards, scripts, and instructional graphics for self-paced e-learning modules
  • Research new content and interview subject matter experts (SMEs) to assess and validate training content
  • Collaborate with leadership on team and department projects
  • Maintain market expertise and act as client advocate within EP
  • Define gaps in and brainstorm new strategies for updating existing training content
  • Identify future training needs and assist in creating a curriculum to facilitate
  • Establish the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest comprehension
  • Aggregate and examine information required for course development or updates
  • Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team
  • Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, invoices, reports and other correspondence
  • Maintain electronic filing system
  • Upload content to an eLearning management program (Skilljar)
  • Respond to and track client feedback in a sales management system (Salesforce)
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, degree in Journalism, Education, or relevant field preferred
  • Mastery or working knowledge of AP Style
  • Mastery of Adobe Premier Pro
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Mastery of grammar, punctuation, and spelling
  • Experience with working with a team to produce content
  • Experience in or working knowledge of the entertainment industry
  • Knowledge of learning psychology, styles, and strategies
  • Strong mix of creative and technical aptitude
  • Passion for writing clean copy and creating interesting content
  • Technical competence in understanding new software, hardware, networks, etc.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills for handling multiple projects on deadline
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas
  • Proficient active listening and interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving adeptness
  • Curious and driven researcher
  • High degree of learning agility and action orientation
  • Analytical mindset
