About the position

The E-Learning Instructional/Learning Experience Designer plays a crucial role in the training team at TransMedics, focusing on the design and development of engaging e-learning experiences. This position involves collaboration with subject matter experts to create instructional materials that enhance learning across various modalities, including online and blended formats. The designer will manage multiple projects, conduct needs assessments, and ensure the quality and effectiveness of training materials through evaluation and feedback analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop engaging and interactive e-learning courses and instructional materials.
  • Create and curate content for various learning modalities, including online, blended, and face-to-face instruction.
  • Develop multimedia elements such as videos, graphics, and animations to enhance learning experiences.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify learning objectives and performance gaps.
  • Manage multiple instructional design projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Develop assessments to measure learning outcomes and effectiveness.
  • Manage and administer courses within a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Utilize e-learning authoring tools to create course content and integrate emerging technologies.
  • Review and edit content for quality, consistency, and instructional effectiveness.
  • Provide training and support to instructors and learners on instructional materials and technologies.
  • Maintain documentation of design processes and prepare reports on project progress.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working with Learning Management Platforms.
  • Proven experience with instructional design and e-learning development.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring and development tools such as Articulate 360 and Adobe Captivate.
  • Understanding of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design principles.
  • Experience using ADDIE, SAM, or Agile methodology.
  • Basic knowledge of web development technologies (HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of instructional design models and ability to develop engaging learning experiences.

  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Familiarity with multimedia tools for creating interactive content.
  • Ability to train and support end-users on LMS functionalities.
  • Experience in a corporate training environment.
