About the position

The eMarketing Specialist at Technology Conservation Group plays a crucial role in supporting the eMarketing team by conducting routine tasks that facilitate the online auction process. This position involves preparing products for auction, ensuring that items are presented well, and maintaining an organized workspace. The specialist will be responsible for building auctions to maximize returns, organizing the auction shelving areas, and ensuring that all items are properly shelved and ready for shipping. Additionally, the role requires the individual to assist in shipping, research questionable products for market value, and complete teardown duties for items that did not sell or are deemed scrap. The eMarketing Specialist is expected to meet daily quotas and contribute to improving operations and streamlining processes to enhance customer service. This position requires a commitment to safety and compliance with company policies, as well as active participation in safety committee meetings. The role may also involve occasional mandatory overtime, and the specialist must be flexible and adaptable to changing demands in the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine tasks to supply eMarketing photographers with auctions to list on the online auction interface.
  • Shelve completed orders and pull orders for shipping.
  • Maintain organization in auction building and shelving areas.
  • Prepare products for auction, including cleaning and removing asset tags as needed.
  • Build auctions to maximize return on investment.
  • Organize the workplace and maintain a clear, safe workspace.
  • Receive eMarketing scrap reports and scrap items accordingly.
  • Check smart tickets to ensure continuous selling.
  • Pull items for shipping and put completed auctions away.
  • Maintain organization throughout eMarket shelving and assist shipping when needed.
  • Research questionable products to ensure market value before listing.
  • Complete teardown for items that did not sell or are deemed scrap prior to listing.
  • Meet daily quotas and departmental goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations and streamline work processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
  • 1 year of marketing experience (preferred).
  • Successful completion of a background investigation including Social Security Trace/Validation, Criminal Felony & Misdemeanor Search, Statewide Criminal Search, and Employment Verification for the past 7 years.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 1000 pounds using a pallet jack.

Nice-to-haves
