About the position

The E-Services Representative at Capital Credit Union plays a crucial role in upholding the organization's mission by assisting members who prefer electronic channels for their banking needs. This position focuses on processing applications for deposits and loans, onboarding new members, and providing exceptional service through various digital platforms. The representative is responsible for promoting member advocacy, building relationships, and ensuring a high-quality service experience for all members.

Responsibilities

  • Assist members with consumer lending via phone, video, or online applications, including taking and closing loan applications.
  • Help members open new accounts and answer questions through phone, video meetings, or online applications.
  • Manage onboarding and follow-up for applications initiated by E-Services.
  • Educate members about electronic options and Capital Credit Union's products.
  • Promote Credit Union products and services tailored to member needs, including loans, debt protection, and banking services.
  • Correspond with members regarding eligibility for accounts and loans, and discuss special promotions.
  • Make member referrals to Mortgage Lenders and Financial Solutions Representatives, arranging appointments as needed.
  • Compile data for surveys and perform miscellaneous duties as required.
  • Maintain knowledge of the online banking system and Credit Union products and services.
  • Cross-sell applicable products and assist in preparing documentation for the position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend detailed instructions and correspondence.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Experience operating an online computer terminal and knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Credit Union products and services, typically acquired through 3-6 months of on-the-job experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Analytical skills to research and resolve member issues effectively.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse member base in various situations.
  • Strong communication and listening skills for sensitive situations.
  • Motivation and sales skills to promote products and services.
