About the position

The Extended Term Consultant (Instructional Designer) at IFC is responsible for driving the corporate learning agenda and supporting continuous professional learning of staff in alignment with business strategy. This role involves designing and delivering high-quality learning experiences, conducting needs assessments, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance learning initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a toolkit of learning standards, best practices, and resources aligned with IFC Knowledge Management and Learning (KML) Strategy.
  • Advise and support teams in designing engaging and impactful learning experiences for internal and external learners.
  • Assist in designing and conducting needs assessments to identify skill gaps and learning priorities.
  • Support the implementation of learning experiences using the Open Learning Campus (OLC) and other World Bank Group platforms.
  • Create and curate engaging learning content, including e-learning modules and workshops.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of learning interventions to improve learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with external learning vendors and subject matter experts for developing learning experiences.
  • Support the evaluation and integration of new learning technologies to enhance learning programs.
  • Manage multiple learning projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning Technologies or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of relevant learning experience in global/multinational corporate environments.
  • Proven track record in the conceptualization, design, and implementation of learning programs.
  • Experience in teaching and learning processes using new technologies.
  • Extensive instructional design experience implementing the latest technologies for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and experts for developing new learning products.
  • Advanced use of e-learning authoring tools: Articulate (Rise and Storyline), i-Spring, Camtasia, and Vyond.
  • Ability to plan, design, develop, control, and execute learning projects using modern project management tools.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems and Learning Experience Platforms.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a consulting or financial institution environment.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies in learning and development.
