About the position

The E T Consultant for New Product Development at IFC Systems Corporation is a pivotal role focused on enhancing and developing new private equity fund products in emerging markets. This position requires a seasoned professional who can take a proactive, hands-on approach with minimal supervision. The consultant will work closely with fund heads to refine strategies and structures of various fund products, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and the dynamic landscape of emerging markets. The consultant will conduct thorough reviews of product concepts, implementing changes to enhance overall effectiveness and actively fostering collaboration among funds. This role also involves supporting fundraising efforts by providing strategic insights and contributing to the creation of compelling materials. The consultant will maintain a comprehensive project management timeline, deliver regular progress reports, and ensure documentation of the development process for future reference and organizational learning. The overarching objective is to elevate fund products, align them with organizational goals, and navigate the complexities of emerging markets.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct an in-depth examination of product concepts considering market dynamics and potential challenges.
  • Work closely with fund heads to refine and enhance product concepts based on practical insights and strategic improvements.
  • Implement changes to fund structures, investment strategies, and impact measurement methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration and synergies among funds to ensure a cohesive approach.
  • Propose innovative strategies for each fund's focus area, including market research and unique approaches to maximize impact.
  • Provide strategic insights and contribute to the development of materials for fundraising purposes.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive project management timeline outlining key milestones, tasks, and deadlines for each fund.
  • Provide regular updates and progress reports to fund heads and AMC Director.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of the process, including changes made and key outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in finance, business, or a relevant subject.
  • 10-12 years of hands-on experience in the private equity sector, with a proven track record of optimizing fund strategies and structures.
  • Demonstrated experience working with private equity in emerging markets, understanding unique challenges and opportunities.
  • Proven ability to contribute to the refinement and enhancement of fund concepts and implement changes to fund structures and strategies.
  • Strong collaborative skills with a track record of executing opportunities for collaboration among multiple funds.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead the development and implementation of innovative strategies for diverse focus areas.
  • Direct experience in providing hands-on value-added services, including market positioning and investor engagement strategies.
  • Strong project management skills with a minimum of 6 years of experience in developing project management timelines.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English, able to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and foster communication between fund teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience working with international development organizations, particularly in private sector development.
