Responsibilities

• Performs installation, operations and maintenance, and disposal of Linux-based IT software.
• Conducts analysis, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for AF DCGS Test and Operational Enterprises.
• Applies security patches and operating system upgrades to maintain security and integrity.
• Assists in new infrastructure projects.
• Ensures accuracy of documentation for assigned enterprise changes.
• Performs daily system checks on Linux assets to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• Configures Yellowdog Update Manager to install and test Linux patches.
• Maintains Puppet and Satellite servers for automated deployment of Linux VMs.
• Works with OEM engineers to resolve elevated system issues and document fixes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a STEM or related field with 3+ years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline.
• 1+ year of experience with the DoD is preferred.
• Ability to perform all functional duties independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 8570 Compliant certificate (Security +) is a must.
