EXPANSIA is looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Project Administrator to support our customer in providing a common set of required EIT services across 187 bases to implement a consistent, high-quality experience for users across all mission environments. This role will enable the United States Air Force to transition focus from network operations and on-premise systems and applications to an enterprise-based Azure Cloud environment. As a Senior Technical Azure Administrator, you will operate and maintain an Azure-based, US Government multi-region enterprise platform for the Department of the Air Force. This environment is classified as Information Level 5 (IL5). You will work independently or in very small teams to integrate systems and solutions, triage issues, and prioritize tasks. Your responsibilities will include the installation of new software releases, system upgrades, evaluation and installation of patches, and resolution of software-related problems. You will also perform system backups and recovery, maintain data files, and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity. In this role, you will communicate with executive leadership, present findings, answer questions, and proactively resolve issues. You will collaborate with your manager to understand requirements, priorities, and objectives to ensure your work supports the larger capabilities and direction of the overall solution. This includes participation in planning, backlog refinement and prioritization, and retrospectives. You will be involved in the full life cycle of activities including deployment and validation efforts to ensure product success while following all established processes and standards. Additionally, you will manage cloud workloads in day-to-day operations, performing various tasks such as planning, designing, managing, supporting, and maintaining cloud computing-related activities.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain an Azure-based, US Government multi-region enterprise platform for the Dept. of the Air Force.
  • Install new software releases, system upgrades, and evaluate and install patches.
  • Resolve software-related problems and perform system backups and recovery.
  • Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity.
  • Communicate with executive leadership and proactively resolve issues.
  • Participate in planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Manage cloud workloads in day-to-day operations.
  • Deploy and manage Azure cloud resources and infrastructure components using automation tools.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices for cloud environments.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for cost-effectiveness, performance, and scalability.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years direct experience in Azure cloud network architecture or a related role, preferably in a large-scale cloud environment.
  • Experience in network architecture and engineering in a commercial cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), with a preference for Azure.
  • 8+ years' experience working as an AWS administrator building and maintaining secure AWS environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS technologies, principles, and best practices.
  • 8+ years' cumulative experience with systems administration in Linux environments or Windows Server environments.
  • 5+ years' experience with STIGs, best practices, and government compliance requirements.
  • 5+ years' experience integrating, securing, and understanding Microsoft platform services.
  • 5+ years' hands-on experience creating, analyzing, and automating Linux scripts.
  • 5+ years' experience with network devices, integrations, and concepts such as VPN, firewall, routing.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.

Nice-to-haves

  • 15+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Current certifications for CISSP, CCNA, CCNP.
