The E25 Submarine Weapons Systems Test Engineering position at HII involves providing technical support to engineers in the testing and evaluation of submarine weapons systems. Candidates with prior US Navy Submarine experience, particularly in Weapons Delivery and Electronic Systems, are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to engineers on various technical tasks.
• Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
• Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).
• Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas and preliminary analyses of data.
• Conducts tests and records data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

Requirements

• AA or other 2-year technical degree in related discipline and 3 years of related experience, or HS + 5 years related (DoD/USN) experience.
• US Navy Submarine Fire Control Systems experience.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior US Navy Submarine Service on Los Angeles and/or Virginia Class Submarines.
• AN/BYG-1 System and Subsystem Operation and Maintenance experience.
• Electrical/Electronics System Troubleshooting and Repair experience.
