Responsibilities

  • Oversee and perform advanced engineering, architectural, and construction inspection work.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of architectural or engineering construction projects.
  • Review and develop project objectives while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and policies.
  • Oversee quality assurance and quality control aspects of technical projects.
  • Conduct project reviews and inspections with facility inspectors and project managers.
  • Consult with Project Engineers and contractors on work progress and construction problems.
  • Direct, develop, and evaluate projects using accepted project management methodologies.
  • Implement and evaluate project budgets, schedules, and resource requirements.
  • Identify potential project impediments and design strategies to mitigate them.
  • Monitor project costs and quality to ensure completion within budget and specifications.
  • Train professional and technical staff.

Requirements

  • Experience in project management, particularly in engineering or construction fields.
  • Strong leadership and oversight skills for managing multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws related to construction and engineering.
  • Ability to conduct project reviews and inspections effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in budget management and cost estimation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with FHA or FAA inspections.
  • Familiarity with traffic control plans and safety standards.
  • Coaching and leadership experience for junior project managers.
