About the position

The Early Career-Additive Manufacturing Machine Technician D Shift at Blue Origin is a hands-on role focused on the setup, operation, and monitoring of Additive Manufacturing (AM) machines. This position is critical in supporting the development of spaceflight systems and involves working closely with a diverse team of technicians and engineers. The technician will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of manufacturing processes, contributing to continuous improvement and automation efforts, and maintaining a culture of safety and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Additive Manufacturing machines and equipment.
  • Monitor and record operational information related to machine performance.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on AM machines.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and attention to detail in all processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High school diploma/GED AND two (2) years' work experience.
  • 2+ years hands-on Metallic Additive Manufacturing production experience.
  • Associates degree in applicable technical discipline from an accredited school or institution.
  • Proven ability to operate complex processes and equipment, including precision medical equipment and Robotics.
  • Basic proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work with complex software interfaces.
