The Field Service Engineer position at PAR Systems involves providing premier engineering support for advanced automation and control systems across various industries. This role focuses on hands-on learning and application of engineering principles, particularly in troubleshooting and modernizing automation equipment. Responsibilities

• Working with customers to understand their technical specifications
• Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and modernizing automation equipment in various applications
• Performing scheduled preventative maintenance
• Evaluating and recommending repairs to customers
• Onsite customer installs of new equipment and upgrades

Requirements

• Bachelor in a relevant Engineering discipline (i.e. mechanical, electrical, controls)
• Ability to set your own course without oversight
• High attention to detail and ownership of work
• Strong organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills
• Interest in electromechanical systems, mechatronics, and automation with a desire to learn new programming languages and standards
• Relevant experience or knowledge gained through previous employment or internships is preferred

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with commercial PLC packages (Allen Bradley, Omron, Siemens, etc.)
• Experience with robot packages (Fanuc, Epson, Kuka, etc.)
• Experience with machine vision (Cognex, Keyence, etc.)
