About the position

The Early-Career Hydrogeologist or Remediation Engineer position at Geosyntec offers an opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world environmental challenges, specifically in contaminated site assessment and remediation. Responsibilities

• Conduct fieldwork including soil and groundwater sampling, drilling, and contractor oversight.
• Evaluate chemical data and assess contaminant fate and transport.
• Perform groundwater and soil remedy evaluations, cost estimations, design calculations, and implementation.
• Conduct aquifer testing and hydrogeologic data analyses.
• Provide environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting support.
• Analyze data and prepare maps, tables, and figures.
• Draft technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in geology or environmental, civil, or chemical engineering (required).
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing (required).
• Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced degree in geology or environmental, civil, or chemical engineering (preferred).
• Prior research experience in contaminated media or remediation technology (preferred).
• Prior internship experience in environmental consulting (preferred).
• Experience with ArcView, Microsoft Access, Modflow, and/or EVS (preferred).
