About the position

The Industrial Engineer position at Blue Origin focuses on various aspects of industrial engineering, including time studies, work sampling, facility layout, statistical analysis, and manufacturing process design. The position is based at the West Texas Site in Van Horn, TX, and offers additional financial incentives for eligible employees who relocate or travel frequently to this location.

Responsibilities

• Conduct time studies and work sampling to improve operational efficiency.
• Design facility layouts to optimize workflow and space utilization.
• Perform statistical analysis and cost/benefit analysis for various projects.
• Engage in manufacturing process design to enhance production capabilities.
• Collaborate with team members on rapid development programs.

Requirements

• Successfully completed an internship with Blue Origin in 2024.
• Enrolled or recently graduated from a college or university.
• Able to start working full-time on or before September of 2025.
• Minimum of a B.S. degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, aerospace engineering, or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Self-driven with minimal direction required to seek out requirements.
• Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for Blue's Mission and a desire to continuously learn and improve.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with facility layout planning.
• Involvement in Lean/Six Sigma projects.
