About the position

The Industrial Engineering team at Lockheed Martin's Aerostructure Product Center is focused on enhancing aerospace manufacturing processes for Blackhawk derivative airframes and components. This role involves conducting detailed analyses to support production goals, optimizing operations, and collaborating with leadership to implement innovative methodologies and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses to support production goals.
  • Perform methods analysis, labor performance evaluations, and standard data development.
  • Engage in cost estimating and man-loading studies.
  • Conduct capacity studies and workflow assessments.
  • Evaluate make-vs-buy decisions and learning curves to optimize operations.
  • Develop actionable plans for implementing new technologies and methodologies in collaboration with Operations Leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Master's degree.
  • Experience in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with analytical and project planning tools, including MS Office suite and Tableau.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a union environment with shop floor experience.
  • Familiarity with SAP software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly with Production Operations and Program Offices.
  • Greenbelt Certification is a plus, with experience leading process improvement activities.
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), Schedule Performance Index (SPI), and Cost Performance Index (CPI) is a plus.
