About the position

The Early Career/Internship Program Manager at Georgia Pacific Consumer Products is responsible for overseeing the recruitment, development, and management of summer interns within the JumpStart program. This hybrid role emphasizes collaboration with university partners, strategic project sourcing, and enhancing the intern experience through effective coaching and program management. The position requires a strong focus on relationship management and the ability to implement innovative recruiting strategies that align with the company's goals.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Koch Early Career team to recruit and hire talent during fall campus recruiting.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with professors, administrators, and students through ongoing university engagement efforts.
  • Explore diverse recruiting efforts beyond the traditional 4-year college experience.
  • Utilize market insights to develop and execute recruiting strategies that align with internal stakeholders' needs.
  • Manage the design and implementation of recruitment processes for Early Career hiring.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and career development to summer interns.
  • Oversee the onboarding of incoming summer interns and manage programming and strategy for training.
  • Maintain and update JumpStart program data and metrics to track successes and identify insights for continuous improvement.
  • Identify and source strategic projects across CPG that align with the vision and business priorities.
  • Maintain and enhance the JumpStart program's online presence on platforms like SharePoint and LinkedIn.

Requirements

  • Organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience in relationship management and service delivery, focusing on cultivating and maintaining strategic partnerships.
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time as needed.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of experience in hiring/recruiting.
  • Experience with event planning.
  • Knowledge of the CPG organization at Georgia-Pacific.
  • Understanding and application of Principle Based Management.
