About the position

The position at Blue Origin involves applying standard engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair, and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. The role is crucial in supporting the development cycle of engineering artifacts, ensuring safe and repeatable space flight, and contributing to the company's vision of enabling millions of people to live and work in space. Candidates will work on various projects related to mechanical and structural engineering, including propulsion systems and the integration of materials and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, install, modify, analyze, repair, and test mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Develop, release, and support engineering artifacts across the development cycle.
  • Implement operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals and specifications.
  • Specify system components or direct modifications to ensure conformance with engineering specifications.
  • Investigate equipment failures and diagnose faulty operations.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed an internship with Blue Origin in 2024.
  • Enrolled or recently graduating student attending a college or university.
  • Able to start working full-time on or before September of 2025.
  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronics, or similar discipline.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs.
  • Self-driven with the ability to seek out requirements with minimal direction.
