In this role, you will apply standard engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair, and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. You will be involved in the development, release, and support of engineering artifacts across the development cycle to support hardware fabrication, assembly, verification, testing, and operations. Your responsibilities will include implementing operating procedures, resolving system malfunctions, and providing technical information. You will research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications. Additionally, you will specify system components or direct the modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications. Investigating equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and making recommendations will also be part of your duties. This position is available in various locations including Kent, WA; Van Horn, TX; Cape Canaveral, FL; Huntsville, AL; Los Angeles, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Denver, CO; and Washington, DC. Specifically, at the West Texas Site in Van Horn, TX, eligible employees may receive additional financial incentives, including a living allowance and relocation assistance, based on their ability to permanently relocate or travel to Van Horn from another Blue location at least 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Successfully completed an internship with Blue Origin in 2024.
  • Enrolled or recently graduating student attending a college or university.
  • Able to start working full-time on or before September of 2025.
  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronics, or similar discipline.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs.
  • Self-driven with the ability to seek out requirements with minimal direction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
