Responsibilities

• Researches, writes, edits, and proofreads complex technical data for healthcare manuals, procedures, and specifications.
• Assists in establishing style guidelines and standards for texts and illustrations.
• Interviews technical personnel and gathers information for documentation.
• Writes and organizes online help files to support end users.
• Creates and delivers system/software developmental documentation packages from technical project team inputs.

Requirements

• More than two or three years of technical writing experience.
• Background in communications, journalism, technical writing, or related field required.
• General knowledge of medical insurance/healthcare field preferred.
• Experience with desktop publishing, word processing, PowerPoint, Basic web design, Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Creative Cloud, HTML, and other image software.
• Strong communication skills and excellent proofreading and editing skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with industry writing style such as grammar, sentence form, and structure.
• Ability to convert technical knowledge into easily understood terms.
