About the position

The Property & Casualty Actuarial Analyst position within the Risk and Analytics Corporate Practice at WTW is designed for early career professionals looking to develop their skills in actuarial science. This role involves working on project teams to perform reserve studies, pricing analysis, and capital management activities for a diverse group of clients. The analyst will utilize actuarial models, reconcile and analyze data, and communicate findings effectively to clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Developing and using actuarial models
• Reconciling and analyzing data
• Problem-solving using spreadsheets, databases, and other resources to produce client deliverables
• Developing client communications, including reports and other correspondence
• Presenting results to colleagues and clients
• Sitting for actuarial exams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Passed 1 or more actuarial exams
• Strong technical skills and client service orientation
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
• High level of general computer literacy and interest in learning new tools and applications
• Experience in managing data and automating complex data manipulation tasks in SAS, R, SQL, or other programming languages such as VBA
• Detail-oriented with good organization skills and ability to work independently
• Strong written/oral communication skills
• Ability to execute on multiple projects simultaneously and work well in a team environment

Nice-to-haves

• Predictive modeling experience
• Experience with Emblem and Radar software
• Experience working with big data
• Ability to code and develop in scripting and object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Java, C#
