About the position

The Early Childhood Instructional Coach at Las Cruces Public Schools is responsible for providing instructional leadership and coaching to educators in early childhood education. This role focuses on enhancing teaching practices, integrating technology, and ensuring developmentally appropriate practices are implemented to foster positive student outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional leadership and coaching to early childhood educators.
• Facilitate teacher and student groups to promote effective teaching strategies.
• Integrate technology to differentiate learning experiences for students.
• Collaborate with educators to improve teaching practices and student outcomes.
• Lead professional development sessions for staff on early childhood education best practices.

Requirements

• Valid New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) Teaching Level II license with Master's Degree; or National Board Certification; or Level III.
• Five years of demonstrated knowledge, skills, and teaching success in early childhood education.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood special education.
• Evidence of instructional leadership and coaching experience.
• Experience working in Early Childhood programs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with IDEA 619 Part B federal regulations.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of educators.
