About the position

The Early Childhood Intervention Specialist position at Allegheny County Department of Human Services involves overseeing and coordinating specialized social service functions for children and adolescents. Responsibilities

  • Monitor and provide technical assistance to contracts between Allegheny County and private agencies for Early Intervention services.
  • Conduct audits of contract agreements to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Provide direct information to supervisors regarding policy development and programmatic changes.
  • Oversee and audit Early Intervention programs and services for children with severe emotional disturbances.
  • Review operating methods and make recommendations for programming and policy changes.

Requirements

  • Two years of professional level experience in the field of mental health.
  • A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.
