Welcome to TEACH-LA: Building the Future of Early Childhood Education! TEACH-LA is a groundbreaking workforce development initiative designed to foster the growth of the Early Childhood workforce in Los Angeles County. Our program focuses on preparing educators to teach and nurture children between the ages of 18 months and 4 years old. By providing educational opportunities, on-the-job work experience, and a supportive community, TEACH-LA empowers aspiring teachers to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners. The Substitute Teacher will be under general supervision of assigned locations and will deliver high-quality Early Childhood Development services to children enrolled in programs, including educational, social, physical, nutritional, and psychological development of children under their care. The role involves communicating with parents on their child's individual progress and maintaining records of attendance and educational achievement. The Substitute Teacher is responsible for planning lessons, serving meals, and ensuring a healthy and safe learning environment for children.
