Early Childhood Program Director

About the position

St. Charles Borromeo Academy is seeking a full time Early Childhood Director for the 2025-2026 school year and will report to the pastor. This lead teaching position requires an individual who cares for the physical, social and emotional needs of each young child, while promoting and modeling the mission of the Catholic Church. This individual is in charge of planning and implementing activities that encourage spiritual and mental growth for this age group, along with evaluating each young scholar throughout the year to ensure proper development is taking place. Familiarization with Diocesan and school policies will guide the teacher’s decision making.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities that encourage spiritual and mental growth for young children.
• Evaluate each young scholar throughout the year to ensure proper development.
• Ensure certification and training are up to date and the center facility complies with laws and regulations.
• Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality when working with administration, staff, parents, and children.
• Manage and set high behavior standards for the ECC Staff.
• Manage and oversee budget and accounts to ensure the center remains profitable.
• Assist ECC teachers to prepare and implement effective lessons using Diocesan standards.
• Collaborate with School Administration and Parish Leadership Team.
• Support and uphold the philosophy of a Classical, Catholic education.

Requirements

• An Early Childhood or education-related Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Twenty-four (24) months of responsible, supervised, full-time, paid experience working with children in a child care setting.
• Trained in Protecting God's Children.
• Must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children.
• Familiarity with licensing and accreditation requirements.
