About the position

ECE Subhub is a Substitute company based out of Lake Orion, MI, dedicated to providing a creative and inspiring work experience for individuals passionate about educating young children. We operate in various cities across six counties, including Wayne, Oakland, Jackson, Macomb, Genesee, and Washtenaw. Our mission is to create an inclusive, fun, and rewarding environment for our substitute teachers who work with children aged 0-5 years. We pride ourselves on maintaining a safe and lively atmosphere for both our staff and the children they educate. As a substitute teacher with ECE Subhub, you will be placed in early childhood programs, including Head Start and GSRP Programs, school district early childhood programs, church-based programs, and childcare centers. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young children and are looking for a flexible and fulfilling teaching opportunity. We are committed to supporting our substitutes in their professional development and ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed in their roles. Our substitutes play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young learners, helping to shape their early experiences in education.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5 years.
  • Implement lesson plans and educational activities in accordance with the curriculum.
  • Supervise and engage with children during play and learning activities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding children's progress and needs.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of children in the classroom.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education with ZA or ZS endorsement.
  • Experience working with children from birth through 5 years of age.
  • CPR Adult and Pediatric Certification (preferred).
  • Ability to work in various early childhood settings.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Head Start or GSRP Programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work in different locations and programs.
