About the position

The Early Childhood Teacher is responsible for supervising and engaging with children in a classroom setting, implementing educational themes and lessons, and ensuring a safe and positive environment. This part-time role requires adherence to state licensing requirements and involves collaboration with parents and staff to foster a nurturing atmosphere for children's development.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall supervision and day-to-day class activities.
• Implements weekly themes and lessons on a daily basis.
• Maintains classroom cleanliness and organization.
• Provides a positive environment for children with clear expectations.
• Assists with meals and snacks for children.
• Attends required staff meetings and school functions.
• Follows state licensing requirements for childcare.
• Oversees the assistant teacher in the classroom.
• Greets parents and children as they arrive and leave.
• Ensures safety of all students and staff in the classroom and playground.
• Maintains classroom ratios at all times.
• Cleans and disinfects the classroom as needed.
• Actively engages with students during activities.
• Communicates effectively with leadership and staff.
• Builds good relationships with families.

Requirements

• Teaching experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience in childcare for at least 1 year is preferred.
