About the position

The Early Childhood Team Lead at La Petite Academy is a pivotal role focused on promoting the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children in a childcare setting. This position involves leading classroom management, implementing curriculum, mentoring staff, and ensuring compliance with licensing guidelines. The Team Lead is also responsible for fostering relationships with families and supporting the overall success of the center.

Responsibilities

• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children in care.
• Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation, ensuring classroom instruction is at least 50% of the weekly schedule.
• Communicate and build relationships with families to promote child achievement and center success.
• Mentor and assist in the management, training, and mentoring of new hires and fellow teachers.
• Take on the duties of Director or Assistant Director in their absence, including opening and closing the school.
• Ensure daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing company standards.

Requirements

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans.
• College credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree or a CDA (Child Development Associate) certification preferred.
• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Nice-to-haves

• Valid Child Development Associate Certification certification.
• Experience in leadership.
