About the position

Here We Grow Preschool & Child Care Center is seeking enthusiastic and energetic toddler teachers to join their dedicated team. The role involves sharing classroom caregiving responsibilities, planning and executing daily activities aimed at child development milestones, and maintaining portfolios for each child. The position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities in a supportive environment that emphasizes outdoor exploration and nature-based learning.

Responsibilities

• Share classroom caregiving responsibilities with a cooperating teacher.
• Plan and carry out weekly and daily activities for child milestones.
• Maintain portfolios for each child, including observations, photos, and assessments.
• Manage the classroom in accordance with state licensing requirements.
• Engage children in outdoor activities and exploration in various outdoor spaces.

Requirements

• Completed or willing to take entry-level certificate courses required by the state of Wisconsin for Early Childhood teaching.
• Preferred: partial or completed credential, AA or BA in Early Childhood, Child Development, Elementary Education, or related field.
• Preferred: one or more years of experience working with infants/toddlers in a childcare setting.
• Age requirement: 18 years of age (or 17 years with completed entry-level course).
• Physical ability to lift children up to 50 lbs and carry a minimum of 100 ft.
