About the position

The Early Intervention Special Instructor will work with children from birth to three years old who have developmental delays, providing tailored support based on each child's Individual Family Service Plan. The role involves designing learning environments and activities that promote skill acquisition in various developmental areas, while also offering guidance and support to families.

Responsibilities

  • Design learning environments and activities that promote skill acquisition for infants or toddlers with disabilities.
  • Provide families with information, skills, and support to enhance the skill development of their child.
  • Work directly with infants or toddlers with disabilities and their families to enhance the child's development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in early intervention, early childhood special education, early childhood education, child development, special education, or family studies.
  • 1 year of full-time or equivalent experience working directly with preschool children with disabilities and their families.

Nice-to-haves

  • CPR Certification
  • Experience working with people with disabilities
  • Preschool experience
