About the position

The Early Intervention Specialist-Provider plays a crucial role in supporting children aged 0-3 years and their families by coordinating services and providing developmental support. This position involves case management, assessment, treatment planning, and specialized skills training, all aimed at enhancing the growth and development of children with various needs. The specialist works closely with families and a transdisciplinary team to ensure that children receive appropriate services and support in their natural environments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between clients and their families to obtain assistance and rehabilitative treatment.
  • Provide case management by coordinating services for children and families.
  • Conduct monthly assessments and monitor child and family needs as documented in the IFSP.
  • Communicate regularly with team members regarding child and family needs.
  • Develop, review, and update Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) with the transdisciplinary team.
  • Deliver specialized skills training to parents to support their child's development.
  • Document all services provided, including ongoing progress notes and case management notes.
  • Participate in professional development and training as required.
  • Support program events and community outreach activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or at least 18 hours of college credits in Early Childhood Intervention, including 3 hours in Child Development.
  • Bilingual skills preferred for communication with families.
  • Experience with young children is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in early childhood intervention or related fields.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
