About the position

The Early Intervention Specialist will work with infants and toddlers with autism and other developmental disabilities, providing essential support and intervention services. This role focuses on ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals while utilizing behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors. The position also involves training parents in intervention strategies and maintaining accurate medical records.

Responsibilities

• Work with infants and toddlers with autism and other developmental disabilities and provide support and intervention services
• Provide patient care and ensure the safety and well-being of individuals
• Utilize behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology relevant to behavioral health and special education
• Train and teach parents/family intervention strategies
• Collect data on individual progress and behavior to inform treatment plans

Requirements

• Experience working with individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities
• Proficient in early childhood education techniques and early intervention strategies
• Strong behavior management skills to effectively address challenging behaviors
• Familiarity with medical records management and understanding of medical terminology
• Experience working with infants and toddlers
• Understanding of early intervention and behavioral health practices and interventions
• Must have at least a BA degree
• Skilled in data collection methods for tracking individual progress
