About the position

The Early Intervention Specialist at A Divine Beginning, LLC is responsible for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges. This role involves implementing individualized plans, promoting skill development, and conducting weekly home visits to work closely with clients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly home visits with each child on their caseload.
• Work with parents/caregivers to provide quality Family Training/Special Instruction and Service Coordination services for children.
• Collaborate with other professionals and agencies.
• Write professional reports and correspondence.
• Document routine information for each child on the caseload.
• Understand infant and child development.
• Administer assessments and interpret assessment results.
• Develop and monitor plans for each family/child on the caseload.
• Ensure appropriate procedures and timelines are followed.
• Help families to become advocates for their child.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass standard background checks (drug screen, employment physical, SLED, DSS Central Registry, and Sex Offenders Registry).
• Must possess a valid SC driver's license.
• Must have a reliable vehicle that is fully insured for transportation to clients' natural environments.
• A Bachelor's degree in Child/Human Development, Education: Early Childhood, Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, Psychology, Public Health, Social Work, Sociology, or other related fields.
• 1 year of experience in early childhood education, OR 1 year experience working with infants and toddlers, OR 1 year experience with children age birth to 5 years with disabilities.
